The Retirement Planning Group Business Continuity Plan
A fact of life is that disasters happen. Whether as simple as a
local power outage or as complex as a regional catastrophe, we
at The Retirement Planning Group want you to know that we have
carefully prepared for problems or disasters that may arise.
The Retirement Planning Group has put a great deal of time and
effort into preparing a Business Continuity Plan. This plan
outlines for each advisor and staff member exactly what to do
during a disruption of our business. Since the nature, timing
and severity of disruptions are unpredictable we incorporate a
great deal of flexibility into our continuity plan. We also
periodically review, update and test this plan.
Our first priority in any emergency (after the personal safety
of our employees) will be to re-establish communications with
our clients. If you need to contact us, we first ask that you
call our main telephone number: (913) 498-8898. Toll free: (866)
498-8898. If we are unable to answer, we will leave a message
providing information and, if necessary, instructions. If the
situation warrants it, we will also post information and
instructions on our website: www.planningretirements.com. For
direct access to your Charles Schwab account, you can always
contact Schwab Alliance at (800) 515-2157.
In the event of a business disruption, we plan to resume
operations as quickly as possible. The business recovery portion
of our plan addresses the following areas of critical
importance: protecting client assets and confidential
information, re-establishing voice communications,
re-establishing data communications, backup and recovery of
critical data and systems, and alternate physical locations.
If you wish to discuss any aspect of our business continuity
plan, please feel free to call us at (913) 498-8898 and ask for
your advisor. We are happy to discuss the details of our
continuity plan so that you may feel more secure.
