How to Make Micro-Loans - 1 Night
Come learn the nuts and bolts of making international micro-loans using Kiva.org. Kiva.org enables everyday Americans to make small loans to poor people around the world. Access to credit allows small business owners to empower themselves and improve their lives. By reducing vulnerability and increasing earnings and savings, financial services allow poor households to make the transformation from "every-day survival" to "planning for the future." We will also discuss the effects of microfinance, and how it can improve lives for the world’s poor.
