Roy earned the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation in 1984. He received a B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis in finance from the University of Missouri, Columbia and an MBA from the University of Missouri Kansas City. He has been actively involved on the board of directors of the Kansas City Financial Planning Association and the Mid-America Soap Box Derby. Twenty five years after helping his two sons build and race soap box race cars, he now enjoys helping his three grandchildren build and race their soap box cars. When time permits, Roy enjoys working on the family farm.
