Shannon joins The Retirement Planning Group as a Tax Advisor, where she helps clients with tax preparation, planning strategies, and estimating taxes related to their retirement funds. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Houston and is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the state of Texas.

With more than five years of experience in public accounting, Shannon has worked with a variety of clients, including high-net-worth individuals, partnerships, and corporations with both domestic and multi-state filings. Her background also includes tax research, business return preparation, and payroll filings. Over time, she discovered that what she enjoys most is helping people understand their taxes and how they fit into their larger financial picture.

Shannon takes pride in building relationships and making tax discussions approachable. She enjoys getting to know her clients, understanding their goals, and finding ways to make the tax process less stressful. Outside of work, Shannon enjoys playing piano, watching tennis and baseball, taking golf lessons, and traveling. She’s also a big fan of crime podcasts, Halloween, and cheering on her favorite teams — the Patriots, Texans, and Dodgers.
