Meet April Henderson

April has more than 20 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, tax, and payroll. She began her career in the early 1990s after earning her associate degree in accounting, working part-time in the field while raising her family. In 2014, she returned to the workforce full-time at a CPA and financial advising firm, where she specialized in managing small business accounts and gained extensive hands-on experience in financial organization and analysis.

As a Senior Bookkeeping and Payroll Specialist at The Retirement Planning Group, April helps clients through every stage of their business, from setup and organization to ongoing financial management. She is passionate about guiding clients in understanding their numbers so they can make confident, informed decisions for growth. April is also pursuing her bachelor’s degree in accounting to complement her many years of practical experience.

Outside of work, April is devoted to her family and loves spending time with her husband and children through travel, sporting events, and family gatherings. She also enjoys being outdoors, especially summer days at the beach, hiking, and skiing. In her free time, April likes to stay creative with crafting and planning events.
