Meet Cindy Haefele

Cindy’s journey into payroll began in high school, where she discovered a love for numbers through her accounting classes. That interest carried into college and eventually led her to a small CPA firm, where she handled financial statements, payroll, and tax returns for about 35 clients. After taking time off to raise her three boys, a family friend encouraged her to return to the field, and she jumped back in, working at his CPA firm doing the work she’d always loved.

What started as a part-time role soon became nearly full time. Eventually, Cindy made the decision to pursue a full-time opportunity and joined the payroll department at Olathe Public Schools. There, she worked alongside the Payroll Manager to process payroll for over 5,000 employees twice a month. Her commitment, precision, and passion for getting every detail right helped her grow into the Payroll Manager role, where she led the implementation of a new software system. When completing payroll, she always strives to pay each employee correctly and gets excited when everything balances to the penny.

Now, she’s excited to bring her dedication and experience to a company that shares her values and appreciation for getting the details right. Outside of work, Cindy enjoys baking with her two granddaughters, discovering new favorite restaurants with her husband, and winding down with a good movie and a big bowl of popcorn.
