Sara was born and raised in a small town south of Kansas City. During college and the first few years of her career, she worked at a small CPA firm that specialized in individual and business tax returns, as well as accounting and payroll for small businesses. After a stretch of working in private accounting, she missed the opportunity to work with many different clients and the excitement of tax season. For the last 10 years, Sara has been back working in public accounting and focusing on tax preparation.

At The Retirement Planning Group, Sara prepares tax returns and assists with tax planning throughout the year. She currently lives in Lee’s Summit, MO with her husband Tim and their two kids. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, being outdoors, and watching Kansas City sports teams.
