Eric M. Lans is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional and Senior Wealth Manager at The Retirement Planning Group. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University, his MBA from the University of Michigan, and a Certificate in Financial Planning from the American College of Financial Services. With more than two decades of experience, Eric has been guiding clients as a financial advisor since 2001, and obtained his CFP® certification in 2008.

Throughout his career, Eric has been an active member of the Financial Planning Association (Michigan chapter) and has dedicated his time to serving on several nonprofit boards, including as chair of Harbor Hospice in Muskegon, Michigan, and Portage Lake Covenant Bible Camp in Onekama, Michigan. He is also deeply involved in global mission work through the La Gonave Action Team and the Global Partners Health Network, supporting medical initiatives in Haiti.

Eric enjoys spending time with his wife, three college-age children, and their dog. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time on or in the water, whether sailing, SCUBA diving, boating, swimming, or fishing. He also loves mountain biking, traveling, and exploring the world around him.
