James “Jim” Mikesell is a Senior Wealth Advisor with The Retirement Planning Group. He brings a strong background in financial advising, banking, and business leadership, including experience running a multi-office title agency. A graduate of Grand Valley State University with a degree in Finance, James has built his career around a passion for numbers and a commitment to helping people achieve their goals.

Throughout his career, James has been recognized for his integrity, leadership, and people-first approach. His background spans personal finance, real estate, and small business management, giving him a well-rounded perspective when guiding clients. At TRPG, he is dedicated to building meaningful relationships and helping clients create clarity and confidence in their financial lives.

Outside of work, James enjoys spending time with his wife of over 31 years, their four children, and their family dog. He is an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and enjoys golf, boating, hiking, and traveling, often seeking out unique or off-the-beaten-path destinations. He also believes in giving back and is grateful for opportunities to support his community through both time and charitable contributions. Above all, James values time spent with family.
